Paio
Jewelry artist and sculptor Björn Weckström is the internationally best-known Finnish jewelry designer. In the early 1960s, he created a series of gold jewelry inspired by gold nuggets from Finnish Lapland. The uneven soft glow of matte gold jewelry made them like miniature sculptures created by Nature itself. The jewelry signified a revolution in the still highly conservative world of jewelry, and made Björn Weckström famous worldwide. The organic texture and warm glow of the Paio earrings’ matte surface are characteristic of gold jewelry designed by Weckström – timeless beauty inspired by nature. Paio is Italian for a pair.

A Living Legacy
Kalevala is a world of timeless beauty, empowering stories and sustainable values created on the initiative of writer Elsa Heporauta over 80 years ago. It reminds us of the sampo in the Finnish national epic Kalevala, a mystical artefact that brings riches and good fortune to its holder. It is a heritage which is alive still today.
