Björn Weckström is a finnish sculptor and jewelry artist. The jewelry he designs are like miniature sculptures. For the Tenochtitlan collection, he got inspriration from Aztec mythology. The name is given after the capital and religious center of the ancient Mexican civilization.

Jewelry artist and sculptor Björn Weckström is the internationally best-known Finnish jewelry designer. The sculpturesque jewelry designed by Weckström in the 1960s signified a revolution in the still highly conservative world of jewelry, and made him famous worldwide. Many pieces of silver jewelry designed by Björn Weckström are inspired by the cold beauty of winter in the North. In the jewelry, he immortalised the evolving sculpturesque windblown forms in snow, while the dialogue of crystal clear and soft shimmering matte silver evokes images of pure frosty snow and ice shimmering in sunlight on a winter day

Care instructions Gold jewelry

Kalevala gold jewelry are made from either 18 or 14 carat yellow or white gold. We use 100% recycled gold. A mild soap wash is enough to care for gold jewelry. If necessary, gold jewelry can also be cleaned with a gold cleaning agent, which is sold in goldsmith shops. Although gold does not darken much, it is a relatively soft metal alloy, and jewelry made of it can wear out with use.
