"The source" by Johan Ludvig Runeberg (1804-1877) contains the most beloved poems of our national poet. Its sensitive image of summer nature has been etched in the minds of Finns also as a composition: "I look at your beautiful spring, like your water. Like the shadows of a cloud wandering in your reflection."

Runeberg's verses inspired jewelry designer Kirsti Doukas to design a jewelry series to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the poet's birth. The light blue topaz adorning the Lähde jewelry shimmers and shines like a clear spring from which light rays are reflected.
