An oath to power and courage. Snakes were believed to be immortal because they shed their skin. Featured in jewelry, the snake symbolised success and the course of life. A snake ring also symbolised power and courage. This ring is based on the model of a ring, found in Vesilahti in the Pirkanmaa region, dating back to the later age of tribal migrations (7th century AD). The spiral has cross-stitch ornamentation and easily recognisable snake-shaped motifs at both ends.
