PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND FEATURES

The seed-shaped Itu pendant is crafted from two interlocking silver elements, one of which is gold-plated. The pendant is intricately detailed on both sides. Curb chain, adjustable length 50/55/60 cm. Lobster clasp. Both the pendant (charm) and the chain can be purchased separately, too.

Kalevala’s contemporary design draws inspiration from the powerful nature of the North and its many interpretations. The Itu (Finnish for sprout) collection is born from the sculptural vision of designer and artist Martin Bergström. Itu is inspired by new life growing from a seed – by shoots that push up from the soft soil of the forest or through tiny cracks in city streets paved with asphalt.

The collection brings together silver, gold-plated silver, and glass beads in bold, unexpected ways. Itu invites you to create your own unique combination.

Itu is a story of tenderness and enduring strength – one that resides within each of us.

Care instructions for silver jewelry

Kalevala silver jewelry is handcrafted in Finland from sterling silver. More than 99% of the silver we use is recycled.

Over time, all silver jewelry darkens. Darkening can be prevented by regular cleaning and proper storage of the jewelry. Dark spots can be removed with a Kalevala cleaning cloth. After cleaning, it is a good idea to wash the jewelry in mild soapy water so that the cleaning agent does not stain the clothes. The cleaning cloth is not suitable for cleaning stones set in silver jewelry.

It is good to keep the jewelry in its original packaging. Additional protection for jewelry without
against the darkening effect of impurities is provided by a tight plastic bag.
