The silver Moon Goddess ornament is a special anniversary product celebrating Kalevala Jewelry’s 90th anniversary year. It can be hung on a wall, lamp, or window – anywhere to bring joy and beauty into the home every day of the year.

The ornament is the same size as the large Moon Goddess pendant, but made from a thinner sheet of metal. Its black hanging ribbon with a satin sheen is made from recycled PET plastic.

The silver ornament will be produced as a numbered edition of 90 pieces. In addition to the numbering, each ornament bears the anniversary year logo stamp. The silver Moon Goddess ornament is available exclusively in Kalevala's own stores in Helsinki and webshop.

JEWELRY STORY

Kuutar on yksi Kalevala Korun rakastetuimmista klassikoista, jonka loi 1940-luvulla taiteilija Germund Paaer, Kalevala Korun ensimmäinen pääsuunnittelija. Koriste pohjautuu kauneimpiin viikinkiaikaisiin korumuotoihin ja niiden spiraalimaisiin yksityiskohtiin.
Kuutar-koriste tuo Kalevala Korun muotoilun osaksi sisustusta. Se on Kalevala Korun 90-vuotisjuhlavuoden erikoistuote, jota on valmistettu 90 kappaletta numeroituna sarjana. Kuutar-koriste on suunniteltu erilaisiin tiloihin heijastamaan valoa, viimeistelemään juhlahetkiä ja tuomaan iloa arkeen. Koristeen voi ripustaa seinälle, valaisimeen tai ikkunaan – mihin tahansa tuomaan persoonallista ilmettä.
Jokaisessa korussa oleva juhlavuoden leima kertoo ainutlaatuisesta hetkestä – 90 vuodesta naisten tarinaa, suomalaista käsityötä ja muotoilun juhlaa.

Care instructions for silver jewelry

Kalevala silver jewelry is handcrafted in Finland from sterling silver. More than 99% of the silver we use is recycled.

Over time, all silver jewelry darkens. Darkening can be prevented by regular cleaning and proper storage of the jewelry. Dark spots can be removed with a Kalevala cleaning cloth. After cleaning, it is a good idea to wash the jewelry in mild soapy water so that the cleaning agent does not stain the clothes. The cleaning cloth is not suitable for cleaning stones set in silver jewelry.

It is good to keep the jewelry in its original packaging. Additional protection for jewelry without
against the darkening effect of impurities is provided by a tight plastic bag.
